The RERA agent exam is the certification or competency exam used by state RERA authorities for real estate agents, property brokers, and consultants. The exact syllabus, registration process, and passing rules can differ by state.

The MahaRERA certification exam is a 50-question MCQ paper with a 40-minute time limit. You need 40% to pass, which is 20 correct answers out of 50. There is no negative marking, so attempt every question. You are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts before you must re-enroll in the 20-hour training programme.

In Maharashtra, completion of the mandatory 20-hour MahaRERA agent training from an approved institute is required before sitting the exam. No minimum educational qualification is prescribed beyond the training. Requirements differ by state, so verify on your state RERA portal.
