Every real estate agent, broker, and property consultant in Maharashtra must pass this exam to legally facilitate transactions. Sales employees at developer site offices also need certification. From January 2024, non-certified agents have their registrations deemed void.
The MahaRERA certification exam is conducted by IBPS. It is a 50-question MCQ paper with a 40-minute time limit. The passing score is approximately 50%. You are allowed a maximum of 3 attempts before you must re-enroll in the 20-hour training programme.
